Hollaway Environmental + Communication Services is looking for a Communications + Public Involvement Coordinator to support meaningful community engagement and communications efforts across a variety of public-sector projects.
Key Responsibilities- Support public involvement and communications projects from planning through delivery
- Help develop public involvement plans, meeting materials, notices, and reports
- Write and edit content such as brochures, websites, presentations, scripts, and social media
- Coordinate and support public meetings and community engagement events
- Attend and document client meetings; support project managers
- Manage multiple deadlines while keeping work organized and on schedule
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in communications, public involvement, or public relations
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Comfort juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with public meetings, community engagement, or NEPA-related work is a plus
- Multilingual skills a plus
- Supports the development of NEPA-Compliant Public Involvement Plans
- Leads the development of summary reports and other documentation for public involvement and engagement activities in close coordination with the project manager
- Supports the successful delivery of public meeting(s)/event(s) with support from the team
- Organizes, prioritizes, and owns multiple tasks while meeting or exceeding deadlines
- Professionally communicates with clients and internal team members while building trust
- Operate with simplicity, clarity, and efficiency
- Maintains continuous communications with the Communications Team Manager and appropriately escalates issues in a timely fashion
- Delivers job duties as described within the Job Description
Salary range: $60,000–$70,000 (commensurate with experience).
