The OpportunityThe Head of Marketing for Construction and Power Providers is a strategic executive role responsible for leading the commercial, business and marketing strategy for the Power Providers and Construction business. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and based at the company’s global headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas, this role is an extension of the Power Providers Executive Leadership Team.
This leader will drive integrated marketing programs that align with business objectives, support sector growth targets and respond to evolving client needs.
Key Responsibilities- Build and advance executive business relationships within Power Providers, including the President and leadership team, and develop relationships with other heads of marketing and sector Presidents.
- Conduct market research and understand target segments, organization types, buyer and influencer roles and engagement opportunities.
- Develop strategic marketing plans, campaign strategies, demand strategies, digital and performance marketing, discoverability planning, budget management and execution across global stakeholder groups.
- Define the customer decision journey with sales and engagement touchpoints across the buyer cycle, working closely with sales, account relationship and pursuit teams to provide tools that support the sales and lifecycle processes.
- Create and test messaging that resonates with audiences across segments, subsegments and buyer groups, and maintain message consistency across platforms and channels.
- Manage paid media strategies, tactics and measurements to monitor and adjust campaigns, promotions and spend as part of performance marketing cycles.
- Execute outcomes‑driven demand and funnel‑building campaigns to audiences with low awareness of Black & Veatch and power solutions.
- Plan and deliver in‑person and virtual events, including industry trade and Black & Veatch hosted executive events supporting sales, client relationships and industry relations.
- Integrate power solutions across the digital landscape, ensuring overall discoverability, organic and paid search across the full client lifecycle.
- Understand sales and marketing metrics, set and track KPIs across marketing performance life cycles and adjust tactics for continuous improvement.
- Lead a small team of direct reports and a larger team of influential partners in marketing collaboration and execution.
- Collaborate with marketing, business and regional teams to meet the diverse needs of power providers.
- Build consensus and strong internal communication networks with sales teams and account executives across the company.
- Position the power provider portfolio across applicable global markets, collaborating with regional sales and marketing leaders on regional/country‑specific plans.

Elevating the brand across build services and industries
- Minimum of 15years strategic marketing experience in B2B, including strong digital marketing and demand generation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, marketing communications, business marketing or a related field.
- Experience in power marketing and knowledge of the ecosystem for power generation and delivery.
- Executive marketing leadership in a matrix organization with responsibilities across marketing domains supporting business sales, solution sales and regional account teams.
- Experience across utility and commercial EPC environments.
- Exceptional marketing communications skills, including writing, presenting and public speaking to senior leadership.
- Advanced Excel and analytics/data analysis skills.
