Assembly Operator - 2nd Shift
Location: Northwest Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Frequency: Weekly Pay
Openwork is currently seeking dependable Assembly Operators for a second shift opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in Northwest Houston. With more than 70 years of industry experience, this organization is recognized for producing high-quality wooden reels distributed across global markets.

Position Overview:
As an Assembly Operator, you will support production by assembling wooden components into finished cable reels. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

- Weigh, label, and tag finished products for shipment
- Apply grease to reels to provide waterproof protection
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with additional production or warehouse tasks as needed
- At least 1 year of manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse experience required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a labor-intensive and non-climate-controlled environment
- Attendance and punctuality are very important for this position
- Team members must arrive on time and maintain consistent attendance to support production schedules
- Reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role
