Aker Bio Marine Manufacturing facility plays a key role in AKBM’s krill oil business. As Production Supervisor, you will be part of the shift rotation and be responsible for leading the team while focusing on performance, efficiency, quality, compliance, and safety. Essential to work with the other shift supervisors and the operations manager to ensure smooth daily operations.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Supervise and develop production and sanitation teams, ensuring effective shift coverage, task assignment, training, and performance management.
  • Manage HR-related matters within the team, including attendance, conduct evaluations, and coordination of staffing or disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee shift operations to meet production targets for safety, quality, output, and equipment uptime, maintaining accurate reporting and ERP reconciliation.
  • Enforce compliance with safety, food quality, and regulatory standards (HACCP, GMP, PPE use, and chemical handling) and lead timely investigation of incidents.
  • Foster a safe, disciplined, and collaborative work environment that promotes accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety performance.
Education and Experience
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, in lieu of a degree, experience in a supervisor or in a management role will be considered
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years in a managerial or supervisor role.
  • Proven ability to manage production schedules, resources, and operator teams effectively.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Competence in using production control systems and data reporting tools (ERP/MES/Power BI)
