Openwork is partnering with a growing uniforms operation in Houston to hire an experienced Seamstress who takes pride in quality work and thrives in a production-driven environment. This is a steady, hands-on role where your expertise directly impacts the final product and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Be Responsible For:
You will play a key role in producing professional garments that meet strict fit and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include:
- Altering and repairing uniforms (hemming, resizing, tapering, sleeve adjustments)
- Operating industrial and standard sewing machines
- Taking accurate measurements and assisting with fittings
- Inspecting finished garments to ensure quality and durability
- Maintaining equipment and an organized workspace
- Following detailed production specifications
- Meeting daily production expectations
- Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (one weekday off)
- Saturday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Sunday off
We are seeking professionals who demonstrate:
- Experience as a seamstress, tailor, or garment alterations specialist
- Strong garment construction and alteration skills
- Ability to take precise measurements
- Comfortably operating industrial sewing equipment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with uniforms or professional apparel
- Embroidery skills
- Heat stamping or vinyl heat stamping experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Consistent schedule
- Weekly pay
- Long-term, temp-to-hire potential
