Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician – Consumer Products

Step Into a Day in the Lab

At KIK Consumer Products, the day begins early so families everywhere can count on spotless kitchens, healthy pools, and safe homes. At 5:00 a.m., you’re on the floor partnering with Operations to keep production running within spec. You walk the line, verify parameters against Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Guidelines, and Facility Procedures, and pull samples of raw materials and finished goods.

In the lab, you run physical and chemical tests, record meticulous results, and act quickly if something is off—holding product as needed and kicking off internal investigations and root‑cause analysis.

Between tests, you keep the lab in top shape—calibrating instruments, maintaining the Quality Retain Program, organizing work spaces, and ordering supplies so nothing slows the team down. You prep and ship samples for outside analytical testing and document every step with care. Throughout it all, you collaborate closely with QA and Operations to ensure products meet the quality and safety standards that define our brands.

• Role supports 1st shift:
  Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m. with occasional Saturdays based on business needs
• Pay rate: $19.00 per hour

• Review production line parameters and performance for adherence to Company SOPs, Quality Guidelines, and Facility Procedures
• Test samples for physical and chemical properties against Quality Specifications (raw materials and finished products)
• Generate and ship samples for external analytical testing
• Maintain the Quality Retain Program
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness and organization
• Document testing, place product on hold when required, support internal investigations, and contribute to root cause analysis
• Order and manage laboratory supplies
• Maintain the Instrument Calibration Program
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma with strong math and problem‑solving ability
• Less than one year of hands‑on experience with quality systems/checks preferred
• Manufacturing background strongly preferred in bottling, food & beverage, or consumer/retail goods
• Careful follower of detailed instructions; safety‑first mindset
• Flexibility to work either 1st or 2nd shifts
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs; climb stairs/ladders; use hands/arms to handle materials; stand for extended periods; comfortable in an industrial setting
• Clear verbal and written communication; strong math; advanced computer skills (Word/Excel)
• Highly detail‑oriented
• Must pass pre‑employment Drug Screen and Background check
