The Production Assistant will schedule production, verify and keep records on inbound and outbound shipments, and prepare items for shipment.

• Implement the daily/weekly production schedule through communication and follow‑up with process leads
• Assist in planning and communicating project‑related information
• Interface with all facets of the operation: manufacturing, sales, safety, customers and other related personnel in and out of the company
• Promote awareness for safety programs/initiatives
• Investigate and recommend improvements including tracking improvements
• Respond to sales and manufacturing teams’ needs
• Compare information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
• Operate forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials
• Document and maintain inventory and ensure production area organization and cleanliness
• Receive, unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Check and store merchandise or materials
• Fill requisition and orders
• Rely on instructions and pre‑established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Operate tier lift truck to load and unload trucks
• Assist in setting up and performing cycle counts for inventory management
• Assist in writing and updating production and safety SOPs and VOPs
• Assist in reviewing BOMs for accuracy, update as needed
• Run daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for review with Production and Plant Manager
• Assist in reconciling production reporting and actual attainment
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to read/write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Training and/or forklift experience necessary
• Ability to multitask, be detail‑oriented and possess strong organization skills
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
