Job DetailsKey Responsibilities
- Create precise 2D technical drawings in AutoCAD for CNC turning tools, threading inserts, tooling components, and other machined parts.
- Verify that all designs meet dimensional tolerances, machining requirements, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with machinists, engineers, and customers to interpret and refine design specifications.
- Develop drawings to support manufacturing workflows and customer presentations for concept development and programming.
- Partner with sales to accurately quote new parts based on design complexity and manufacturability.
- Maintain organized drawing records and documentation on a Windows‑based server.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required).
- Solid Works experience or familiarity (preferred).
- Strong understanding of machining tools, CNC lathes, machining centers, and metalworking processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, thread forms, and machining tolerances.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially when working directly with customers and shop personnel.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high‑quality work.
