Job Order:
Welder - Urgent Need
We have an urgent need for Welder candidates.
Position: Welder
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10 hours per day (5:00 a.m.
- 3:00 p.m.)Overtime: Based on production schedule;
Saturdays scheduled in advancePay Rate: $25.00 per hourRequired: Must have a welder's hood and full PPE
Job Duties
- Perform welding and associated activities including grinding, painting, cutting, and other tasks in a steel fabrication shop.
- Conduct visual quality checks and self-inspect work as instructed.
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Safely operate shop equipment such as grinders, shears, cranes, and related tools.
- Participate in training for quality procedures, equipment use, and safety compliance.
- Must be a certified welder, unless otherwise specified.
- Experience with vertical welding is a plus.
- Candidates will be tested during the interview, including a vertical-up weld on test coupons, which will be sent to a testing facility.
- All welders must be AWS D1.1 qualified.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs alone and up to 100 lbs with a partner.
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Must be able to work in various postures, including flat, vertical, and overhead welding, as well as bending, reaching, and twisting.
- Must be able to wear a respirator when required.
- Must understand and speak English.
- Must have a good work ethic.
- Must have a clean background for the past 5 years.
- Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Must have a stable work history (example: at least one job held for 3 years).
