Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Electrician to support electrical maintenance and installation across a heavy industrial manufacturing operation in the Houston area. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading electrical systems that support production equipment and plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on industrial and production equipment.
- Install, adjust, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, drives, control panels, and instrumentation.
- Diagnose electrical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and repair power distribution systems.
- Work with PLCs, digital drives, motor control circuits, and relay logic.
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate electrical modifications and system upgrades as needed.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Follow all OSHA and MSHA safety standards.
- Wear required PPE and uphold plant safety protocols.
- Support additional maintenance and operational needs as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
- 3+ years in aggregate, cement, sand, mining, or heavy industrial operations preferred.
- Experience with power distribution systems.
- Experience with PLCs and digital drives.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with motor control circuits and relay logic.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints.
- Mechanical aptitude and solid mathematical skills.
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to adapt to company systems).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to outdoor environments, including extreme heat, cold, and noise.
- Industrial plant setting with heavy machinery.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be comfortable working around heavy mobile equipment.
- Ability to walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and lift regularly.
- Ability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently.
- Ability to safely communicate in a high-noise environment.
- Capable of working at heights and accessing industrial equipment.
