Responsibilities
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading and interpreting measurements.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies securely.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed components to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
  • MRP (Material Requirements Planning) experience is a plus.
  • Skills: Basic mathematical skills;
    Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and blueprints;
    Strong attention to detail;
    Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy;
    Strong organizational skills;
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
    Dependable and safety conscious.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Stand for extended periods (often 8–12-hour shifts).
  • Walk between workstations or production areas.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed.
  • Lift and carry materials (commonly 25–50 lbs.).
  • Push/pull carts or equipment.
  • Handle small parts with precision.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools repeatedly.
  • Fine motor skills for small or detailed components.
  • Perform repetitive assembly tasks.
  • Maintain consistent pace throughout shift.
