About the Job
The Houston branch of Openwork has partnered with a well-established HVAC Manufacturer/Supplier to add a Material Handler to their team!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate and communicate with logistics technicians, sales representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Loading and unloading of incoming containers and outgoing truckload shipments including parts, compressors, and systems.
- Tagging parts and compressors to company requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
- 2+ years of sit down forklift experience.
- Experience operating large forklifts is a huge plus.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to use power and hand tools.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent mechanical skills.
- MUST be wiling to consent to background check and drug screen.
- MUST be willing to work indoors and outdoors.
- Our client is looking for a team-player, with a great attitude who is eager to learn and grow.
- Up to $22.00 per hour, based on experience - PM Shift.
- 2:45pm - 3:45am.
- 30 minute lunch.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Contract to hire position.
- Full ankle support safety toe shoes (Can be steel or composite).
- All other PPE provided.
- 401K (With Profit Sharing).
- 80 Hours PTO.
- Sick time.
- Medical, Dental, Vision (Company pays some of the premium).
- LTD.
- AD&D.
- Has a nice breakroom with lockers, granite countertops, coffee maker.
- Company provides breakfast during safety training and pretty regularly buys them lunch about 2x per week.
