Production Planning Engineer; Group MLB._.PP-Houston,TX

Purpose of the Position

Be responsible for make electronic products SMT or assembly production planning and shipping plan, coordinating cross-departmental resources (HC arrangement/line readiness/material supply), ensuring on-time delivery and improving production capacity efficiency. Assess supply & shipping risks based on demand and relevant production & delivery resource factors, ensuring on-time to finish the delivery. Familiarity with ERP systems, import and export process,data analysis capabilities for supply balance, and strong execution skills are necessary to drive efficient collaboration between the manufacturing end and the supply chain .

Have a cost awareness, capable of balancing production supply and inventory cost targets.

• Production and shipping Planning

  • Make and optimize monthly/weekly production plans & delivery plan based on customer demands, inventory data, and capacity constraints to ensure timely order delivery.
  • Monitor the production progress of key processes such as mobile phone mainboard and assembly, and adjust the schedule in real time to handle urgent orders or abnormal fluctuations.
  • Monito r the delivery process, import/export matters, and adjust the schedule in real time to handle urgent orders or abnormal fluctuations, achieve shipping goals.
  • Lead production meetings, resolve scheduling conflicts, and promote priority adjustments.

• Inventory Management

  • Balance the inventory levels of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods to avoid material shortages or excessive inventory, ensuring costs remain within target ranges.

• Capacity Planning and Optimization

  • Analyze production data (such as equipment utilization and labor efficiency), identify bottlenecks, and propose capacity improvement plans.
  • Drive the optimization of ERP/MRP system (such as SAP) scheduling modules to enhance automated scheduling efficiency.

• Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and quality departments to ensure material supply, equipment tuning, and production line manpower match production needs.

• Strong sense of responsibility, with a strong team spirit, and able to balance team work distribution.

• Office-based role, this position must be able to respond to after-hour emergencies and be available to work non-core hours or overtime to complete various projects without interruption to operations.

Skills:

be familiar with SAP/ERP system, a master of using excel and PPT office software.

Fluent in English. Proficiency in Spanish or Vietnamese is preferred.
