Alumanate is a fast-growing American manufacturer serving the signage, architectural, and transportation industries. As we continue to expand production capacity and invest in operational excellence, we are seeking a strong Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and help drive performance, efficiency, and accountability across the facility.
The RoleThe Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and continuous improvement of our 24/7 manufacturing facility. This role owns daily production execution while building the structure, discipline, and team needed to support long-term growth.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on operational leader who can balance floor presence with strategic thinking — someone who develops people, strengthens processes, and delivers consistent results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead all plant operations including production, safety, quality, and maintenance
- Drive throughput, reduce downtime, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
- Establish clear performance expectations and accountability across shifts
- Develop and mentor supervisors and production leaders to build a strong leadership bench
- Partner with supply chain and planning teams to ensure efficient scheduling and material readiness
- Champion a culture of safety, operational discipline, and continuous improvement
- Analyze production metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost control, and waste reduction
- Support the implementation of scalable processes and operating standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to align manufacturing with broader business objectives
- Lead workforce planning, staffing strategies, and labor optimization
- 7–15+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Proven success managing plant or production operations with measurable performance improvements
- Experience leading supervisors and hourly production teams
- Strong understanding of production metrics such as throughput, downtime, yield, and labor efficiency
- Demonstrated ability to build structure and drive accountability in a growing environment
- Effective decision-maker with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically
- Excellent communication and leadership presence
- Experience in continuous improvement environments (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)
- Background in high-throughput or process-driven manufacturing
- Experience supporting plant growth, expansion, or operational scaling
- Safe, consistent, and predictable production performance
