Collaborates with:Welding, Fabrication, Substrate Assembly, Shipping
Primary Responsibility:The Tool Room Attendant assists the fabrication and welding teams in a manufacturing setting. The prepping of materials, accurate inventory counts, knowledge of parts' locations, receiving process, and staging job orders is essential in the flow of customer orders throughout the building as well as improves labor performance of departmental teams.
Shift:1st Shift Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm with overtime as necessary; sometimes required.

Inventory & Accountability
- Maintain real-time inventory of all tools, equipment, and consumables entering and leaving the tool room.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
- Identify shortages or low stock levels and work with Operations or Purchasing on replenishment needs.
- Track tool conditions, usage trends, and losses to support operational planning and cost control.
- Inspect tools for functionality, cleanliness, and safety prior to issuing and upon return.
- Coordinate repairs, calibration, and replacement of tools as needed.
- Ensure all tools and related equipment meet MIRATECH and OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain digital and/or manual logs for tool check-in/out, calibrations, repairs, and inventory changes.
- Provide accurate reporting to supervisors regarding damaged tools, missing inventory, or equipment requiring service.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline tool management processes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in warehouse, inventory management, tool room operations, or a related manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping
- Basic computer skills and comfort using inventory or tracking systems
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with common hand and power tools
- Experience in metal fabrication, mechanical assembly or industrial operations
- Knowledge of tool calibration and preventive maintenance practices
- Forklift experience or certification (or the ability to obtain)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift
- Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods of time
