Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scheduler/Buyer for our manufacturing facility located in Houston, TX, 77034. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that our production schedules run smoothly while managing the procurement of materials necessary for our operations. Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to optimize workflow and meet customer demands.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
  • Manage inventory levels and conduct regular assessments to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and delivery terms for materials.
  • Monitor and analyze purchasing trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production goals with procurement strategies.
  • Utilize scheduling software to track progress and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Prepare reports on inventory status, procurement activities, and production schedules for management review.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in scheduling and purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling and inventory management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
  • Ability to make timely fact based decisions, shows good judgement.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain principles is a plus.
