Manufacturing Specialist
Manufacturing Specialist assists with manufacturing mobile power generation packages and other mechanical equipment.
POSITION SUMMARYThe Manufacturing Specialist assists with manufacturing mobile power generation packages and other mechanical equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Supports reviews of new and old mechanical designs and related equipment for hyper mobile power generation packages & related equipment.
- Red lines engineered drawings.
- Evaluates new products and new product implementation.
- Serves as the liaison between shop personnel and management.
- Provides troubleshooting or oversight on power generation packages and other applicable equipment.
- Provides pre-job and post-job analysis (where applicable).
- Conducts work in accordance with safety rules, standard operating procedures, and the workplace.
- Evaluates operational readiness of equipment.
- Ensures support equipment is manufactured per drawings.
- May aid in the implementation of more efficient working tasks.
- Aids operations with the installation and commissioning of power generation packages and other equipment.
- Installs flushing/polishing equipment, verifies cleanliness, samples oil, removes flushing/polishing equipment, verifies pump rotation, and ensures systems are leak-free.
- May aid in shaft alignment using a laser alignment system.
- Verifies and monitors all systems of units while flushing/testing.
- May perform a borescope of engines as required.
- Rig up/rig down units for testing.
- Ensures units are ready for shipping.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
- Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing, including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
- Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Daily in-person, predictable attendance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical experience.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Basic knowledge of equipment.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- 1 year of previous motor, pump, turbine, or relevant mechanical experience.
- Specific knowledge of GE LM gas turbines, MTU/RR reciprocating engines, and related auxiliary systems is a plus but not required.
- Ability to communicate in a technical manner with clients.
- Ability to work within a team concept to successfully complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to take instructions well and interact with other employees in a positive manner within the framework of assigned work groups.
- Efficient at Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook).
- Knowledge of gas turbine packages and related equipment.

Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach, and squat/kneel. When required to go to a wellsite, employees will ride share with multiple employees. Work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company-mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire-retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and impact gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies.
