About the role:
Development and implementation of purchasing policies and inventory management principles ensuring MRP component data integrity meeting cost effective and timely availability of components to support production requirements. Management of engineering orders and new product introductions implementations
Development and management of team goal metric's and departmental processes documentation. Development of leadership and team building skills.
What you will do:- MRP interpretation, release of POs to assigned suppliers, and communication of supplier feedback with respect to material delivery timing, quantity, expedites, and past due status to appropriate parties. Ensure an uninterrupted material flow for assigned commodity/suppliers in support of the Master Production Schedule. Update database and MRP systems to ensure data integrity.
- Management of component availability in regard to:
- Manufacturing shortages
- New Product Introduction
- Engineering Order implementation
- Develop and manage departmental targets in regard to:
- Supplier delivery performance (pick up date, fill rate, apply rate, delivery date)
- Inventory levels ($/weeks/turns), safety stock ($), and exposure to obsolescence ($)
- Continuously survey assigned commodities/suppliers for changes to their business plans that may affect the timing of deliveries and capacity availability
- Work with suppliers to create recovery plans and formally elevate issues to the proper level of management to accomplish problem resolution
- Work closely with Production Control, Manufacturing, and Material Control/Receiving to ensure inventory record accuracy by requesting cycle counts, performing top-level Bill of Materials analysis, and developing plans to prevent the recurrence of problems.
- Attend meetings as required and as needed to support effective and efficient communication between departments
- 5% travel
- Full onsite presence is required
- Background in the Material Planning function and Inventory Management
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited University
- 7- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in New Product Introduction and Engineering Order Management
- Exposure to International Suppliers
- Ability to work well with others, both inside and outside the company
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's in business administration or supply chain
- Experience in Industrial Equipment Manufacturing

Salary for this position ranges from $67,978.00- $96,044.00 annually. The specific salary for a successful candidate will depend upon, among other legitimate factors, education, training, and/or experience.
