Overview

Job Summary
:
Duties include supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment; operate machinery, record inspected products, load and unload materials, count and determine completion of orders.

Note
: THIS IS A TEMPORARY/SEASONAL POSITION

• Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
• Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
• Mark or tag identification on parts.
• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Help production workers by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, cleaning work areas and equipment, and cleaning of doors and frame components.
• Clean and lubricate equipment.
• Record information such as the number of products inspected, and dates and times of product production.
• Other assigned tasks at direction of Supervision.

• High school diploma or GED certificate and/or industrial experience.
• These occupations often involve using your knowledge and skills to help others

• Mechanical ability.
• Reading various dimensional measurement instruments.
• Production & Processing: knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.

• Forklifts
• Hammers - Claw hammers
• Hoists - Power hoists
• Jacks - Hand jacks;
  Pipe jacks
• Ladders - Platform ladders
• Screwdrivers - Phillips head screwdriver;
  Straight screwdrivers
• Slings - Material-hoisting slings
• Tape measures - Measuring tapes
• Variety of hand tools, measuring instruments, power tools such as saws
• Mechanical machines
• Paint systems
• Assembly operations

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
