We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations for a designated production area. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and team performance while ensuring production goals are met efficiently and consistently. The ideal candidate is a floor-focused leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to motivate teams while maintaining operational discipline.
What You’ll Do- Lead and supervise hourly production teams to meet daily output, quality, and efficiency targets
- Enforce safety standards and promote a culture of accident prevention and accountability
- Monitor production performance and make real-time adjustments to staffing, workflow, or equipment setup
- Train, coach, and develop employees through regular feedback and performance reviews
- Manage attendance, timekeeping approvals, and scheduling in alignment with operational needs
- Address performance issues and administer corrective actions in accordance with company policy
- Collaborate with plant leadership to control labor costs and reduce waste
- Ensure equipment is operated safely and assist on the production floor when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
- Prepare and review basic production reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- 3+ years of experience leading or supervising production teams
- Background working with complex or industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort in hands-on environments
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing operations
- Working knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety standards
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (timekeeping, reporting, Microsoft Office)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive leadership style
Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, or industrial materials
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Shift flexibility may be required, including evenings or overnight schedules
