GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The teammate in this position will report directly to the Production Supervisor, or designated shift Foreman. Grinders are responsible for preparing and finishing parts by removing imperfections to ensure a smooth, high-quality product. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain and wear required PPE at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Verify that equipment is properly “set-up” to process material as needed.
• Grind parts to remove imperfections and achieve required finish quality.
• Operate grinding equipment according to established guidelines.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Maintain an orderly, clean and neat workplace.
• Identify and report equipment issues promptly to management.
• Participate in scheduled department and company-wide trainings and meetings as assigned.
• Assist in training co-workers as requested.

SKILLS:

• Ability to identify imperfections on material through visual inspection.
• High level of attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently on a routine basis.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time while operating grinding equipment.
• Frequent squatting, bending, stooping, and reaching to handle material by hand as needed.
• Manual agility to operate grinders and necessary tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment with potential exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

EXPERIENCE:

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
