EMR USA is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to support the day-to-day operations of our yard. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-conscious, and comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform general housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized yard
Clean and prepare work areas by removing debris and potential hazards
Assist with basic equipment maintenance
Clean barges and other equipment
Follow all operating procedures and health & safety regulations
Use hand tools such as brooms, shovels, and snip cutters
Complete other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & SkillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
Comfortable working overhead, climbing ladders, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
Familiarity with basic hand tools
Forklift experience preferred
Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED required
Prior forklift experience is a plus
Work Environment & Physical RequirementsOutdoor work environment in all weather conditions
Exposure to loud noise levels (hearing protection required)
Near moving mechanical equipment
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and working in confined spaces
