Mig Welder

Position Overview

Haul Lane Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and dependable MIG Welder to join our fabrication and assembly team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with steel and aluminum components, reading blueprints, and producing high-quality welds that meet company standards.

This position plays a key role in building truck bodies, metal frames, and custom parts for our manufacturing and fabrication operations.

• Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on steel and aluminum materials for truck bodies, frames, and metal components.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accuracy.

• Set up welding machines and adjust settings according to material thickness and project specifications.

• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and alignment.

• Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order.

• Operate hand tools, grinders, and cutting torches as needed.

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies during fabrication and assembly.

• Assist with general shop duties and support other fabrication projects as required.

• 1–3 years of MIG welding experience (industrial or manufacturing environment preferred).

• Proficiency in MIG (GMAW) welding; TIG or stick welding experience a plus.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and measurements.

• Experience working with carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Certification in welding (AWS or equivalent) preferred but not required.

• Experience in truck body or trailer fabrication
  .

• Knowledge of press brake, plasma cutting, or assembly processes.

• Forklift or overhead crane operation experience.
