Industrial Engineer

The Industrial Engineer is an innovative thinker and problem solver that leads in creating, developing, and deploying process improvements to support a safe and efficient lean manufacturing facility. • Executes manufacturing “CI” assignments with/without supervision in the value stream.
• Create flow by implementing a lean manufacturing system that aligns with strategic objects. Including installation of assembly lines, material pull systems, and u-shaped cells.
• Evaluates, assists and able to implement efficiency improvements in determined processes or equipment as assigned with and without guidance.
• Evaluates and performs time studies and process observations for efficiency improvements and line balancing.
• Develops and maintain standard work and other visual management tools.
• Projects may include new and improved layout proposals to improve material and process flow.
• Work safely utilizing PPE and following all safety procedures.
• Follow all inventory control procedures while implementing Kanban processes.
• Assist in training of the necessary Lean transformation tools and techniques as required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• BS in Industrial Engineering.
• Experience in a Lean Environment/Culture and a Continuous Improvement role.
• Basic CAD experience required.
• Lean basic knowledge required and “practical application” of Lean Tools.
• Strong experience with MS Office, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and management in a productive manner.
• “Proven” ability to “Drive and Develop” Kaizen activity in a Manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use hand tools as needed.
• Self-motivated – “Driver” type personality and strives for Accuracy and Proficiency at assigned tasks.
• Must support and display Quikserv Core Principles while leading by example in Safety & Quality.

• Must support ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, bending, and walking.
