Position Summary

ATP is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Mill Operator to support our oilfield operations. This position is responsible for running the CNC Mill.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with CNC mills, a strong understanding of oilfield threading standards, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.

Schedule Monday
-Friday 7 AM
-2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and run CNC milling machines with minimal supervision

• Machine oil and gas accessories and components to tight tolerances

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Work with API, Premium threads, and other oilfield threading standards

• Modify, edit, and optimize CNC programs at the machine as needed

• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials

• Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Follow all shop safety and quality procedures

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of CNC milling experience in a machine shop environment

• Strong, broad knowledge of CNC mill operations (setup through production)

• Proven experience machining oil and gas components or similar precision parts

• Familiarity with threads and oilfield specifications

• Ability to independently run jobs from print to completion

• Experience editing and modifying CNC programs (G-code or conversational, as applicable)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multiple CNC mill controls (e.g., Fanuc, Okuma OSP)

• Experience with 3-Axis and 4-Axis machines

• Knowledge of various materials used in oil and gas applications

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
