Manufacturing Engineer
(Pearland, TX):
Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking aProduction Supervisor to oversee production scheduling, quality control, and team supervision to ensure optimal workflow and timely delivery of products. This individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, monitor key performance metrics, and promote a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Provide leadership in maintaining a safe working environment and promoting a culture of safety excellence.
- Manage and coordinate departmental leads (Welding, Machining, Mechanic, Balance) to ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Partner with scheduling and operations teams to drive on-time project delivery.
- Supervise and coach craft labor during disassembly, inspection, repair, and assembly of rotating equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and assist HR as needed to resolve workplace issues.
- Maintain employee training and skill matrices, performance evaluations, and productivity standards.
- Identify opportunities for standardization and process improvement across departments.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance activities and turnaround planning.
- Attend production meetings, provide updates, and communicate effectively with project teams and management.
- Use precision measuring tools and technical drawings to ensure quality workmanship.
- 15+ years of experience in turbo machinery or a related mechanical industry.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team leadership and customer interaction.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, coaching, and mentoring within a shop environment.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines, and expanders.
- Familiarity with welding, fabrication, and balancing principles.
- Basic computer and math proficiency.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a mechanical field preferred.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, walk, lift, and perform hands-on work for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. (50 lbs. with assistance).
- Ability to operate lifting equipment, pallet jacks, and torches.
- Work in a shop environment around moving machinery, moderate noise, and metal particles.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to pass drug/alcohol screenings and background checks.
