Delivery Control Engineer (A Group Dept.)-Houston, TX
Purpose of the position
Be responsible for electronic products SMT or PCB assembly production and shipping plan, coordinating cross-departmental resources, assess supply & shipping risks based on demand and relevant production & delivery resource factors, ensuring on-time delivery. Coordinate and control shipping efficiency with a cost awareness by familiarity with ERP systems, import and export process, and strong execution skills are necessary to drive efficient collaboration between the manufacturing end and the supply chain.
This position will be based in Houston, TX.
- Demand and Supply Management
- Prepare shipping/delivery plan and timelines according to budget and production plan.
- Make and optimize monthly/weekly production plans & delivery plan based on customer demands, inventory data, and capacity constraints, raw material status to ensure timely order delivery.
- Monitor delivery process, import/export matters, and adjust the schedule in real time to handle urgent orders or abnormal fluctuations, achieve shipping goals.
- Capacity Planning and Optimization
- Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and propose capacity improvement plans.
- Drive optimization of ERP/MRP system scheduling modules to enhance working efficiency.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and quality departments to ensure material supply, equipment tuning, and production line manpower match production needs.
- Inventory Management
- Balance inventory levels of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods to avoid material shortages or excessive inventory, ensuring costs remain within target ranges.
- Track shipping progress and resolve any issues or delays.
- Strong sense of responsibility, with a strong team spirit, and able to balance team work distribution.
- Bachelor's degree or above, major in International Trade, Business Administration, Economics.
- 3 years of work experience in the electronics industry is preferred.
- Fluent in English. Familiar with Mandarin Chinese, Spanish or Vietnamese as second language is preferred.
- On-site role with fast-paced operations, flexibility required for after-hours support and overtime to ensure operational continuity.
- Familiar with SAP/ERP system, mastery of using MS Excel and PowerPoint office software.
