Job PurposeThe Assembler I role is responsible for producing finished goods and services to meet our customers' quality and timeliness demands and support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities- Assembles or assists others in assembling (selects, inspects, moves, and manipulates valve components) and/or tests valves to the current Assembly Test Instructions (ATI); performs final valve inspection to include 5s responsibilities.
- Occasionally performs material handling to include forklift operation.
- Occasionally performs assembly painting and tagging responsibilities, following all other applicable standards and safety procedures.
- Actively participates in site safety and quality programs, including our Drive to Zero safety program.
- Displays dependable behavior regarding company policies and practices (e.g., attendance).
- Ability to obtain an in-house forklift certification, including use of stand-up forklift.
- Ability to select and utilize the correct welding procedure for a specific requirement.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, procedures, and instructions satisfactory to safely perform assigned duties.
- Ability to support production needs and identify improvements in production operations and effectively communicate opportunities and solutions.
- Displays flexibility in approach to work scope and daily activities to help the site meet production and financial goals.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of related production or mechanical assembly experience and/or training.
- The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- The worker is subject to noise:
There is sufficient noise to require shouting to be heard above ambient noise levels.
- Medium work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. - Reaching:
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. - Standing:
Remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods. - Repetitive motions:
Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Employment will be dependent on the candidate successfully passing a background check.
