Position Summary

Houston Precision Fasteners is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Aerospace Manufacturing Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a mechanical manufacturing environment, specifically within the aerospace sector, and possess deep expertise in AS9100 quality management systems. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on‑time delivery of fasteners while optimizing resources and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Production Planning & Execution
  • Develop, implement, and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and company objectives.
  • Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to ensure on‑time delivery.
  • Optimize workflow, resource allocation, and equipment utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Oversee all stages of the manufacturing process, from raw material receipt to final product shipment and other duties as assigned.
Quality Management & AS9100 Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to AS9100 quality management system requirements throughout all production activities.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality control processes, including in‑process inspections and final product verification.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality and process reliability.
  • Participate in internal and external AS9100 audits and ensure all documentation and procedures are up‑to‑date and compliant.
  • Address non‑conformances promptly and effectively, implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions and other duties as assigned.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production supervisors and manufacturing personnel.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training and development needs for the production team.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety regulations, environmental standards, and other duties as assigned.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cost savings within manufacturing operations.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Utilize data and metrics to analyze production performance, identify trends, and drive data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain departments to optimize processes and resolve production‑related issues and other duties as assigned.
Safety & Compliance
  • Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring all production activities are conducted in accordance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and address any potential hazards or risks.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of all production equipment and other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in production management within a mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in the aerospace industry is required.
