Non‑Exempt

As a Soil Counter/Sorter, you will handle, count, sort, and record incoming soiled textiles from customers. You will identify damaged or abused textiles, prepare and transfer textiles to other departments, and perform other tasks as needed.

• Open bags of soiled textiles and sort them by type, size, and color.
• Count textiles manually or electronically and transfer them into sorting systems.
• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record them into sorting systems.
• Meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
• Follow instructions as directed by supervision.

• Work in other production positions as needed.

• Recognize colors and sizes, count accurately.
• Comprehend and follow directions.

• Stand, walk, reach overhead, push, pull, grasp, lift up to 50 lbs., and stoop.
• Meet the physical demands for the entire shift.

• Production areas of an industrial laundry facility with varying temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust.
