Job Overview
Sr Director-Manufacturing at Aventiv Technologies. This role oversees management of all areas of manufacturing and facilities operations including supply chain, inventory, assembly, quality assurance, shipping and receiving, and reverse logistics to produce and ship products on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.

Essential Duties- Develops and formulates long and short-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives.
- Develop the manufacturing plan and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company and industry quality standards.
- Manages department expense and capital budgets, makes strategic decisions to achieve optimum staffing, raw material, overhead, and stock to meet annual budgetary plan.
- Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
- Management of manufacturing planning schedule to ensure efficient capacity planning; analyze and report on manufacturing data and performance.
- Directs and monitors Production, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory and Quality department managers to accomplish goals of the manufacturing plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures.
- Act as liaison between department management/subordinate levels, as well as executive/department manager levels to inform personnel of communications, decisions, policies and all matters that affect their performance, attitudes and results.
- Directs management of supply chain, implement and maintain manufacturing processes using Microsoft GP MRP and Oracle Fusion ERP.
- Hires, trains, develop and evaluates staff. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensures compliance with current federal, state and local regulations. Consults with Human Resources Department as appropriate.
- Identifies, recommends and implements changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data. Directs the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards.
- Directs and coordinates various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., training, safety, 5S, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.).
- Initiates and coordinates major projects (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.).
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong business acumen and understanding of manufacturing financial concepts
- Deep understanding of production and supply chain processes
- Understanding of ISO 9000 quality standards
- Excellent MS Excel skills with proficiency in other MS office products
- Executive level Communication Skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Strong Analytic Problem-Solving skills
- 10% travel required throughout the United States or Internationally
- High school diploma or GED
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in process-oriented operations and/or related industry
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management and equipment repair and maintenance
- 5+ years of experience managing a significant department of a large manufacturer or the entire operation of a smaller manufacturer
- 5+ years’ experience with ERP and MRP systems
- BA/BS or Master’s degree in industrial, mechanical, electrical or business administration
- Experience manufacturing electronics and/or radio communications products
- Experience with ERP and MRP systems, Oracle Fusion a plus
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
