Commissioning Project Manager

Akkodis is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager for a Direct Hire with a client in Austin, TX/ New Albany, OH/ Ashville, OH/ Phoenix, AZ(Remote). This role requires strong MEP coordination expertise and the ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.

Salary Range: $70K/Yearly to $110K/Yearly;
The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Commissioning Project Manager job responsibilities include:

* Lead and manage the full commissioning (Cx) process by serving as the primary liaison between Engineering and Construction teams.

* Coordinate the Cx schedule with the Master Project Schedule and ensure all commissioning milestones are met.

* Oversee and report site commissioning status to senior leadership and clients with accuracy and clarity.

* Organize and obtain required documentation from contractors and vendors while scheduling technicians for startup, testing, and equipment verification.

* Direct and support the commissioning efforts for complex electrical and mechanical systems within datacenter environments.

* Lead teams effectively in high‑pressure, fast‑paced project settings while maintaining strong organization and communication.

Required Qualifications:

* Degree in an MEP engineering field, military equivalent, or relevant technical training; additional credentials such as Journeyman/Master's License preferred.

* Minimum of 5 years of Commissioning or Construction Management experience specific to datacenter projects.

* Prior experience serving as a Cx Lead or MEP Coordinator/CM on at least 2 datacenter projects of 5MW or larger.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, BIM
360/ACC, CxAlloy, and ACMS systems, with the ability to learn new software tools quickly;
Cx certifications (BCxP, CxA, CCP), LEED, or NETA/NICET credentials are highly desirable.
