Director of Tradeshow Sales

Innovative Environments (IE), part of the Sabre Group, is seeking an experienced Director of Tradeshow Sales to lead revenue strategy and sales performance for our growing tradeshow and exhibits division.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, leading a high-performing sales team, and strengthening IE’s position in the exhibit and experiential marketing industry.

The Director will oversee sales strategy, pipeline performance, margin discipline, and team development while partnering closely with operations to ensure seamless delivery of tradeshow exhibits and event environments.

Position Overview

The Director of Trade shows Sales is responsible for leading the revenue strategy and sales performance of the Innovative Environments tradeshow division.

This role drives revenue growth, gross margin performance, and strategic market expansion by developing a high-performing sales team and implementing disciplined sales processes.

The Director works closely with the COO, project management leadership, and marketing team to ensure alignment between sales commitments, operational execution, and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities Revenue Growth & Margin Performance
  • Achieve or exceed IE revenue and gross margin targets
  • Drive pricing discipline and protect margins across deals
  • Maintain sales forecast accuracy within ±10%
  • Ensure sales pipeline coverage of at least 3× revenue targets
  • Identify and execute strategies to close revenue or margin gaps
Sales Leadership & Team Development
  • Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing sales professionals
  • Implement structured onboarding and ongoing sales training
  • Coach team members to improve win rates, deal size, and profitability
  • Establish quotas, sales activity standards, and accountability metrics
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans Sales & Operations Alignment
    • Ensure strong collaboration between sales and project delivery teams
    • Oversee alignment between sales commitments and operational capacity
    • Protect project margins from proposal through execution
    • Resolve escalated client issues impacting revenue or retention
    Market Growth & Industry Presence
    • Identify target industries and strategic accounts for expansion
    • Partner with marketing on demand generation and positioning
    • Maintain strong relationships within the exhibit and experiential marketing industry
    • Represent IE at industry events, client meetings, and trade associations

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field
    • 10+ years of business-to-business sales experience
    • Proven experience selling tradeshow exhibits, event marketing, or experiential environments
    • 5+ years of sales leadership or sales management experience
    • Established network within the exhibit, tradeshow, or experiential marketing industry preferred
