POSITION DESCRIPTION
A Facilities Maintenance Manager at SET Environmental is responsible for:
- Overseeing maintenance operations
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance program for facility systems and equipment
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues proactively
- Ensuring timely and effective completion of operator work requests
- Coordinating with internal teams and external contractors for repairs and maintenance tasks
- Overseeing the maintenance of the facility's structural integrity, including roofing, flooring, and other building components
- Team management and leadership
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling and performance evaluations
- Providing leadership and guidance to the maintenance team
- Assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to facilities maintenance
- Project management of contractors
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of contractors within the facility
- Obtaining competitive bids
- Ensuring timelines and project budgets are managed
- Budgeting and resource management
- Developing and managing the facility maintenance budget, including forecasting and controlling expenditures
- Ensuring efficient procurement of equipment, parts, and related supplies
- Negotiating and managing service contracts with external vendors and suppliers
- Safety and compliance
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety throughout the facility
- Responding to emergency situations as required
- General upkeep and functionality
- Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of interior and exterior areas, including offices, parking lots, and grounds
- Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
- Implementing energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact
- Maintaining adequate records of preventive maintenance work, work orders, annual inspections, purchase orders and overtime reports
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ten years of experience in maintenance, mechanical or related field
- Mechanical inclination
- Strong leadership, teamwork mentality
- Training includes, workplace hazards and safety, equipment, and standard operating procedures
