Responsibilities

  • Collect and transmit information for insurance renewal applications and questionnaires from lenders, insurance companies and financial institutions.
  • Coordinate handling of insurance claims with Global Risk Executive, brokers and adjusters.
  • Facilitate periodic Risk and Control Assessments, consolidate results and maintain company wide risk registers.
  • Maintain oversight of village hazards and risks and ensure periodic reviews are completed with the village teams of the controls in place to ensure they are operating effectively.
  • Act as administrator for policy and procedure manuals to update and create new content as needed.
  • Provide management with timely periodic risk reporting regarding incidents and claims.
  • Complete and distribute OSHA summaries annually for village locations.
  • Maintain, monitor and report on the company’s compliance tracking system ensuring tasks are uploaded, assigned accordingly and completed properly to the standard required within the allocated time scale.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of incident benchmarking for CLVus.
  • Monitor the incident reporting process in the region (in accordance with the policy).
  • Conduct incident and accident investigations, assisting the business in identifying systemic causes and implementing corrective actions to management systems and practices, as well as generally giving guidance and direction on the format of such investigations and processing and distribution of relevant documentation.
  • Ensure reporting and monitoring structures are in place to identify hazards and risk practices in the working environment that could lead to incidents or outcomes which may be detrimental to CLV and its reputation and promptly instigate corrective plans.
  • Ensure company wide safety strategies, procedures and communications are maintained and promulgated to enforce a culture of safety across US facilities and offices.
  • Ensure that the CLV US Safety Management Plan and supporting procedures and training are maintained current, and that staff are kept up to date with changing responsibilities, legislation and obligations.
  • Ensure compliance throughout CLV US with prevailing federal and state legislation, including OSHA.
  • Provide technical advice, support and guidance for all operational Health and Safety issues, and support managers through coaching and development.
  • Lead US Regional Health and Safety Committee meetings (forming part of the Risk & Compliance Committee).
