Jamail & Smith is seeking an experienced and strategic Marketing & Proposal Manager to lead our Proposal Team and oversee the development of high-impact marketing and proposal initiatives. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for driving the firm’s pursuit strategy, managing proposal development efforts, and elevating our brand presence to help secure new business.
This position is ideal for a confident leader and strategic communicator who blends creativity with structure. You bring a strong command of storytelling, exceptional writing and editing skills, and the ability to guide teams in producing persuasive, client-focused proposals. You will set standards for quality, consistency, and strategy—ensuring every proposal and marketing deliverable aligns with client needs and reinforces Jamail & Smith’s competitive advantage.

What You Will Do-Lead and manage the proposal development process from pursuit kickoff through final submission. Establish proposal strategies, assign responsibilities, manage schedules, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
Oversee the creation of engaging, on‑brand marketing content, including proposals, presentations, case studies, project profiles, website content, and marketing collateral. Ensure messaging is strategic, compelling, and aligned with business development goals.
Partner closely with business development, project executives, estimators, and operations leadership to develop winning proposal strategies. Facilitate collaboration with internal subject matter experts to gather technical content and translate it into clear, client-focused narratives that differentiate Jamail & Smith.
Quality Control & Content OptimizationEstablish and enforce proposal and marketing quality standards. Review, edit, and refine materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and strategic alignment. Maintain and continuously improve proposal content libraries, templates, and marketing assets.
Brand Management & Marketing OversightOversee brand consistency across all touchpoints, including social media, website updates, company‑branded materials, jobsite signage, and promotional items. Ensure all marketing efforts reflect Jamail & Smith’s identity, values, and professional standards.
Industry Engagement & Relationship BuildingRepresent Jamail & Smith at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry peers while promoting the firm’s capabilities and reputation.
Mentor, coach, and support marketing and proposal team members. Foster a collaborative, high‑performing team environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
