Job Summary
The District Sales Manager possesses comprehensive knowledge of all services and products offered by the company and addresses telecommunications inquiries and challenges. This role ensures the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets while providing on-the-job training to new account managers on telecommunications services and sales techniques. By exceeding team members' expectations and demonstrating effective communication and teamwork, the Manager plays a vital role in maintaining company standards and achieving sales goals.

Duties/Responsibilities- Knowledge of all services and products provided by the company.
- Solves and answers telecommunications questions such as special situations, customer inquiries or problems with bills, etc.
- Ensures monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets are met.
- Provides on-the-job training to new Major Account Managers and Enterprise Account Managers on the functions of telecommunications services and the sales of company services. Explanation of service and rate plans, completing the sale, and assisting in determining problems.
- Responsible for managing personnel by implementing goals, through working in attaining goals to build teamwork.
- Implements new projects, and other duties as requested by upper management.
- Maintains and represents the company in Public Relations, i.e., on-net building events, chamber events, trade shows, etc.
- Meets and exceeds team member expectations of all internal team members
- Provides value added service to the company by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed monthly expectations
- Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed
- Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers and management
- Adheres to company policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as requested/required.
- Must be able to learn all aspects of the job by on-the-job-training, attending seminars, attending company-sponsored training, reading sales and management training books, etc., for this position.
- Understanding of the principles and practices of supervision and training.
- Ability to define problem(s), define seriousness of problem(s), collect data, and establish facts.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Professional and effective oral and written communication skills such as writing reports and proposals and presentations.
