Manager, Talent Acquisition at Commonwealth LNG
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Director, Ready for Operations (RFO) is accountable for ensuring the facility is fully prepared for safe and compliant start-up and transition to steady-state operations. This role provides strategic leadership across engineering, commissioning, maintenance, training, and regulatory readiness to deliver an integrated, efficient, and risk‑managed handover to long‑term operations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute the RFO Master Plan covering organizational, system, and asset readiness from LNTP through first cargo.
- Lead cross‑functional readiness reviews and ensure seamless alignment across EPC, commissioning, and operations activities, serving as the primary operations lead throughout the execution phase.
- Oversee development of operating procedures, maintenance strategies, and emergency response plans compliant with CFR 193, OSHA, and API standards.
- Integrate CMMS, Permit‑to‑Work, and digital systems (DCS, AIMS, Data Historian) to support operational efficiency.
- Partner in tandem with the Director, CSU, & Process Safety to manage turnover certification, acceptance criteria, and Pre‑Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) ahead of RFO.
- Lead the development and implementation of the Operations Training & Competency Program, ensuring CWLNG Operations & Maintenance personnel are qualified prior to RFSU and fully integrated with Technip’s CSU process to enable a seamless operational handover.
- Instill a culture of safety, reliability, and operational excellence across readiness activities.
- Provide readiness performance and risk updates to the Vice President, Operations for review.
- Coordinate EPC training activities with the Director, CSU & Director, Training to ensure alignment, workforce readiness, and accurate training records tracking and reporting.
Qualifications:
Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline; equivalent 10+ years’ experience in LNG, petrochemical, or midstream gas plant operations will be considered.
- Advanced certifications in project management, process safety, or operations management preferred.
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience managing pre‑commissioning, commissioning, startup, and steady‑state operations for large‑scale process facilities.
- Strong foundation in process safety, permit‑to‑work systems, and control room operations within high‑hazard industrial environments with a strong understanding of process control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven success developing teams, implementing training programs, and achieving operational readiness milestones.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to align EPC, operations, and corporate stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of safety, asset integrity, and maintenance management systems.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing operational procedures and readiness metrics.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on results, safety, and long‑term operational reliability.
- Strong understanding of lump‑sum, turn‑key EPC execution workflows, including interface management, change control, and construction turnover processes.
