- Provide managers with daily guidance, leadership and overall support in relation to operations, communication, human resources, revenue enhancement, standardizing procedures, systems applications, and executing processes to meet client needs.
- Maximize profitability through superior client service, effective and prompt communications, and follow-up on all pending matters with the client.
- Ensure that freight is being expedited in a safe and timely manner.
- Develop and execute policies, plans, and programs to meet anticipated organizational needs in the areas of functional responsibility and ensure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines.
- Review analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated business development goals and objectives.
- Review and evaluate station P&L performance and establish short term goals to address any budgetary shortfalls.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop continuous improvement methodology in key areas of service, profit, and growth, and use key performance indicators to drive and quantify cost optimization
- Consult with and apprise senior management of important issues, operational concerns, personnel matters, capital expenditures, leases, and all commitments obligating the company.
- Ensure directives, rules, and procedures are communicated to all station personnel, while also ensuring safety methods and programs are implemented and maintained.
- Utilize superior communication skills to motivate staff and develop effective working relationships with peers, executives, and clients.
- Oversee and manage the professional development and productivity of all staff members to ensure proper goals, training, professional development and project requirements are met.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff within the station and address all employee performance problems promptly and directly in accordance with personnel policies of the company.
- Keep abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations
- Ensure that the station facility provides a clean, professional, and safe working environment for all employees

Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and prioritization required.
- Ability to analyze and interpret highly complex regulations and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and at times under high pressure
- Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities
- Experience effectively managing people, with the ability to lead and develop others in achieving company goals and objectives required.
- Ability to allocate decision making authority and/or task responsibilities to others to maximize the organization's and individuals' effectiveness
- Ability to set clear performance expectations and give appropriate recognition for performance.
- Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to accomplish work goals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients and employees.
- Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- High School Diploma/GED is required;
Bachelor's Degree preferred. - 7 or more years of related experience required.
- 5 or more years of demonstrated success in leading, supervising, managing and developing high performance teams required.
- Minimum 6 or more years industry experience required.
- Professional Certification may be required in some areas.
