Providing our Customers with products they love is a big job, and our 12.1 million square feet of warehousing helps make that possible. Our Distribution Center and Transportation Partners are key to helping stock H-E-B Stores and keeping our supply chain moving all over Texas and Mexico.

As a Dock Worker for H-E-B Transportation, you'll load and unload trailers, safely and thoroughly. You'll operate MHE and promote a safe, clean work environment.

What is the work?

Transportation Operations:

* Plans and facilitates daily loading and unloading of H-E-B trailers of specific reusables (e.g., pallets, plastic trays and crates, boxes, wrap, ties, assorted returns)

* Loads and unloads trailers in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with SOPs; unloads completely

* Maintains clean trailers; operates wash equipment; washes trailers as needed

* Operates material handling equipment

* Promotes a safe and clean work environment

* Maintains a sense of urgency; always prompt and punctual

* Escalates issues outside parameters to appropriate parties

What is your background?

* High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

* 0+ years of experience

Do you have what it takes to be a fit as a Dock Worker for H-E-B Transportation?

* Knowledge of warehouse process for sanitation, including cleaning agents, supplies, and related tools

* Working knowledge of related local, state, and federal regulations (preferred)

* Math skills (+, -, *, /)

* Reading and writing skills

* Organization skills

* Bi-lingual (English - Spanish) skills a plus

* Ability to communicate effectively

* Ability to work in a team environment

* Ability to operate machines and equipment in a safe, independent manner

* Ability to obtain and maintain certification in pallet jack and forklift operation

* Ability to operate H-E-B in-house systems (e.g., TINA)

* Constantly* stand, walk, and squat

* Frequently lift and carry 7 lbs for duration of a 10 to 12-hour shift

* Occasionally lift up to 57 lbs
