Summary

Responsible for the operational service of the buildings and grounds of the college facilities to ensure smooth daily operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Moving of materials, furniture, and boxes

Set-up of classrooms, graduations, and special events

Installation and assembly of college furniture

Set-up and operation of audiovisual equipment for college events

Delivery of materials and supplies for college operations

Completion and filing of paperwork supporting college operations

Police exterior of campus for trash and debris

Perform minor non-maintenance tasks as needed (e.g., tightening screws, installing marker boards, assembling carts)

Perform routine inspections related to custodial services, pest control, maintenance, landscaping, and life safety

Deliver supplies and materials throughout campus in the absence of the distribution clerk

Track use and distribution of campus supplies for events

Ensure proper storage of materials after use

Report problems and safety hazards promptly

Install name inserts for office, cubicle, or department IDs

Unlock and close doors as required

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties listed above. The qualifications below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

Education

High School Diploma or GED preferred. No experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to read, write, speak English, and perform basic arithmetic. Ability to work independently, collaborate well with diverse staff and students.

Physical Demands

Ability to travel to campus and offsite locations, lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and operate a motor vehicle (valid driver’s license required).

Non-smoking environment. Background and driving record checks required. Drug and alcohol testing may be required for conditional employment.
