Eagle Analytical is a rapidly growing analytical laboratory with a strong culture of safety, quality, and teamwork. The Facilities Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of the facility, including office, laboratory, production, and common areas. This role supports daily operations by ensuring a safe, compliant, and professional environment in accordance with company policies, GMP standards, and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Maintain cleanliness across all facility areas, including offices, laboratories, production spaces, lobby, conference rooms, restrooms, break rooms, kitchens, elevators, and high-traffic zones.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing floors, cleaning windows, walls, glass, chrome fixtures, and doors.
- Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, production areas, and work surfaces; restock supplies including soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
- Clean and care for laboratory glassware, utensils, tools, and equipment using approved cleaning agents.
- Execute cleaning tasks in laboratory and production areas in compliance with GMP, SOPs, OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Remove trash, recycling, and regulated waste in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to spills, accidents, or safety hazards and place appropriate warning signage (e.g., wet floor signs).
- Dispose of waste safely and in compliance with regulatory and environmental guidelines.
- Adhere to PPE requirements and safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and reporting repair or maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager or building engineer.
- Maintain and organize cleaning equipment, reporting malfunctions or replacement needs.
- Monitor exterior and landscaped areas, removing litter and debris as needed.
- Support building management and engineering teams as required, including occasional evening or after-hours work.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, and special projects.
- Maintain cleaning logs, checklists, and required documentation accurately and consistently.
- Manage multiple tasks throughout the day to maintain a clean, orderly environment.
- Support additional duties and projects as assigned.
- Maintain a professional appearance, reliability, and conduct at all times.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to and over 50 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs or ladders.
- Regular use of cleaning tools such as vacuums, mops, polishers, and hand tools.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals with proper protective equipment.
- Primarily indoor work with some outdoor responsibilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of janitorial, custodial, or facilities cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Familiarity with common cleaning supplies, equipment, and hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions independently.
- Good time management, organizational skills, and initiative.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Flexible schedule with availability for occasional evenings as needed.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor with effective communication skills.
