Job Description Position PurposeMaintain good customer relations and support the Plant Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities- Take daily counts of inventory.
- Answer customer calls.
- Contact route driver and distributor of service needed in the field.
- Help control and maintain all vault load outs and load sheet.
- Verify company route returns and load outs.
- Responsible for company route money verification.
- Help control the cleanliness of dock office and dock loading area.
- Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.
- Adhere to the Code of Business Ethics – honesty and integrity above all else.
- Read and interpret documents in English (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals).
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Maintain an unfatigued state.
- Accurately gauge lengths of time and distance.
- Quickly store and recall instructions in short‑term memory.
- Concentrate and perform tasks requiring high levels of cognitive function and judgment.
- Respond to sudden changes or emergency situations and alarms.

Internal:
Plant Engineer & other dock personnel.
External:
Dock customers, distributors and vendors.
Work performed has some variety but generally routine. Judgment must be used in handling cash and checks, pricing, rotating and ordering stock. Errors could result in stock returns, lost customers and accounting problems.
Supervisory ResponsibilityNo lead or supervisory duties.
Education and Experience- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and calculate basic math.
- Minimum three months of retail experience.
- Ability to operate a cash register and use a calculator (not by touch).
Must be able to bend, lift, and carry objects to stock shelves and on occasion move and cut block ice. Work area is non‑air‑conditioned with one open side exposed to temporary changes. Hazards include unsecured area, slippery floors, temperature changes, heavy weights (~300 lb block ice) and use of a saw to cut ice. Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear; frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
