As a Facilities Technician, you will support the next generation of nurses by maintaining a safe, welcoming campus. Your work directly impacts students, faculty, and staff, helping them pursue compassionate careers.

Perform routine and preventive custodial work of campus facilities and equipment, assist with security coverage, and maintain campus grounds and common spaces.

Duties include:

cleaning and maintaining classrooms, labs, study areas, bathrooms, storage, faculty/staff areas, break rooms, testing areas, Galen shop, outdoor patios, parking lots, walkways, and more. Tasks also encompass trash removal, surface sanitization, replenishing sanitary products, floor and wall cleaning, light bulb replacement, paint and repair, and ancillary maintenance duties following a scheduled cleaning and maintenance plan.

• Perform interior and exterior cleaning of campus
• Maintain inventory of custodial supplies and notify supervisor for weekly orders
• Respond to emergency cleaning requests as needed
• Assemble and repair items as required
• Use hand tools and cleaning equipment appropriately
• Replace light bulbs and supplies promptly
• Paint and repair walls, doors, frames, etc.
• Perform additional custodial duties as directed
• Execute minor security details
• Carry out any other duties assigned

• Excellent oral communication with coworkers, customers, clients, or the public, including face‑to‑face and telephone interactions
• Cooperate with contractors, employees, management, and students
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 25–50 pounds
• Minimal supervision
