We are currently seeking a part-time Floor Care Technician, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal of all floor surfaces throughout the facility using proper equipment, techniques, and cleaning solutions. Responsibilities and qualifications are shown below:
POSITION RESPONSIBILTIES:- Perform a full range of floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, spot cleaning, and carpet cleaning.
- Operate and maintain floor care equipment such as automatic scrubbers, buffers, extractors, and powered pressure washers.
- Ensure proper handling, mixing, and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Transport equipment and materials to assigned work areas as needed.
- Participate in post-construction clean-up, removing dust, debris, and residue.
- Follow established safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and hard hats as required.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with fellow crew members, supervisors, and guests. Maintain accurate records and cleaning logs as required. Assist with additional cleaning duties such as restroom sanitation, wall washing, and window cleaning when necessary.
- Attend training sessions and meetings to stay up-to-date on procedures and best practices.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must pass a drug screening test and pre-employment background check.
- Must have working knowledge of various floor care methods, materials, and equipment.
- Prior experience in floor care or custodial work is preferred.
- Must be service-oriented and possess strong customer service skills.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and follow instructions.
- Must be flexible, dependable, and a strong team player.
- Must be able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain an organized work area.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and transport up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to maneuver through crowded areas and work in different environments, including tight spaces.
- Must be able to work while handling physically demanding tasks, including prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to work in environments with varying temperature levels.
