Sourcing Agent – IMMEDIATE NEED

Location:

T/TTH West Houston

Requirements: Knowledge of New Star is essential.

• Identify and procure construction materials and services from vendors at competitive prices, ensuring timely delivery to meet project deadlines, managing supplier relationships and compliance within the residential home building industry.
• Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities in construction projects.
• Establish relationships with qualified suppliers for materials like lumber, appliances, windows, HVAC systems, etc.
• Conduct price negotiations to secure competitive pricing without compromising quality.
• Manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with terms.
• Analyze market trends, cost fluctuations, and supplier performance to find savings opportunities.
• Monitor supplier quality to meet project specifications.
• Collaborate with project teams to forecast needs, manage inventory, and optimize delivery schedules.
• Track supplier performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal regulations, and ethical sourcing.

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in construction procurement, preferably in residential home building; experience in other industries with strong negotiation skills is also acceptable.
• Analytical skills to assess costs and identify savings.
• Team player with high energy, dependability, and loyalty.
• Excellent communication skills for supplier relationship building.
• Proficiency in procurement software.
• Understanding of construction project management and building codes.

• Reports to the VP of Purchasing.
