LEGAL ASSISTANT | HOUSTON OFFICE

Saint James Place is at the heart of San Felipe Green, providing immediate access to Post Oak Boulevard, Uptown and The Galleria while avoiding The Galleria traffic.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist 3 - 4 attorneys.
  • Construction Litigation and Labor and Employment experience is a plus.
  • Prepare, edit, and finalize pleadings, notices, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Responsible for numerous edits and revisions to letters and forms daily.
  • E-filings in various courts (state and federal).
  • Citations – Coordinate Service of Process.
  • Schedule hearings and depositions.
  • Manage the calendar for all meetings and critical deadlines/dates.
  • Maintain and organize all forms and templates.
  • Submit check requests and expense reimbursements to accounting department.
  • Assist with various clerical responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years minimum years of litigation experience required.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Professional demeanor.
REQUIREMENTS
  • E-filing experience.
  • Litigation experience.
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint and Excel a plus.
  • Net Docs HUGE plus.
  • Background in construction litigation and employment law is a HUGE plus.
