The Gonzalez Law Group is a general practice law firm based in Houston, Texas. Our attorneys work diligently to provide the highest level of service to each of our clients in order to earn the right to become someone’s legal team for the rest of their life. We are seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney to become a part of our team!

Although experience is preferred, newly licensed attorneys are welcome to apply!

The right candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines in a timely manner. Candidates must be able to adapt to daily change, be responsive, self-motivated and have great attention to detail. This position presents a unique opportunity to join a growing and dynamic practice.

Non-bilingual/Spanish-speaking Attorneys will be provided a translator and staff that will handle all the admin work.

• Perform all aspects of criminal defense representation
• Appear in court for all court settings including arraignments, pretrial conferences, and jury trials
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judicial officers, and team members
• Review and develop strategies for assigned cases
• Negotiate and settle cases or prepare matters for jury trial
• Perform legal research and apply legal principles to legal problems
• Draft pleadings and present those statements of law, facts, and arguments clearly, logically, and effectively both written and orally
• Effectively manage a substantial caseload
