Commercial Litigation Associate

Overview

Top AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a 3rd-4th year associate (Class of ) to join the Commercial Litigation Practice Group in our Houston office.

• Serve as a persuasive legal writer and oral advocate with experience in complex business litigation matters in state and federal courts
  .
• Conduct and manage written and document discovery, research and draft pleadings, motions and other court filings.
• Conduct/defend depositions, prepare witnesses for testimony, appear for status conferences, and argue motions in both state and federal court.
• Participate in settlement conferences and negotiations; exposure to trial preparation is preferred.

• Hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school
  .
• Must be in good standing and an active member of the Texas Bar
  .
• Top academics; demonstrated ability to thrive in a sophisticated, busy, collaborative litigation environment.
• Ability to thrive in a well‑rounded, dynamic, highly motivated capacity with direct interaction with partners and clients.

The expected salary range for this position is between $260,000 - $310,000
. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, etc.
