Our firm is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join our Risk & New Business Intake team across our Texas offices. This is a non-billable role offering strong work-life balance, ideal for practicing attorneys interested in transitioning into conflicts, ethics, and firm risk management.
What You'll Do
- Review and analyze conflict reports for new clients, matters, parties, and lateral hires
- Identify and resolve potential ethical or business conflicts
- Draft conflict summaries, waivers, and assist with engagement letter reviews
- Interpret Outside Counsel Guidelines for ethical and risk considerations
- Conduct corporate family-tree and background research
- Collaborate closely with the Office of General Counsel, Intake team, and attorneys firmwide
- J.D. with active bar membership
- 3+ years of legal experience, ideally with a litigation background
- Government experience welcome if paired with strong analytical work
- Strong judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Preference for candidates from Top 50-75 law schools
- Prior conflicts/risk experience is helpful but not required
- Salary range: $160,000-$180,000
